If you really wanted to make BIND ignore some name server, you could
just add a host route for the server's address(es) which pointed to
some black hole or other. At least BSD IP can do that.
I don't know as simply not talking to the system named in the bogus NS RR
would have helped in this case, though -- the damage was done once the
* record was in your own cache.
And as far as I heard the source of the bogon was not found -- it had vanished
from NS.NASA.GOV by the time Milo got the word and looked for it.
Does anybody know where it might have come from?
