I would like to invoke Robert's Rules and move that this discussion be closed.
The discussion has degenerated to the point that it is only fanning *flames*
between proponents of T4/IP and TCP/IP and does not increase the understanding
or appreciation of either the ISO OSI Reference Model or the TCP/IP protocol
suite. The simple answer to the question is that TCP/IP does conform to the
model.

Those of us who purvey services, equipment, and systems to DoD are well aware
that OSD (Office of the Secretary of Defence) has mandated the use of the ISO
protocol suite for interoperability between the US and its allies. The only
thing that seems to be worth discussing is interoperability between the ARPA
and ISO protocol suites.
