Re: default broadcast address

This is an important question for us, as we plan to convert our campus to a
new set of addresses very soon (next week). Once we decide on a broadcast
address, it will be difficult to change our minds. I had been planning on
using the current 4.3 default of (I believe) {net,subnet,-1}, but recent
comments seem to indicate that 0xffffffff may have advantages for diskless
machines trying to discover their identities. More last-minute advice would
be appreciated; after next Sunday, there will be no going back for us...
