I assume that memory is a question, too, because the server vendors
really want to do it like Greg Minshall did, with support for many
different asynch terminals, which needs 1) the 3270 emulator, with
one or more screen images worth of buffering, 2) a curses-like module,
with more buffering and code, and 3) a TCP which can handle decent-sized
data transfers efficiently. Many of them still rely on small windows
to cram N ports into 256K RAM or something like that.
