We converted to 4.3 recently, and have a 9600 baud slip P-P link
between two hosts.
Sometimes the interface goes into a state where there are
constantly 20-45 packets on the output queue with a single connection.
Throughput goes down, and a "rsh otherhost date" takes forever.
Data overrun or line errors are not a problem.
>From my understanding of tcp, the sending side must be doing
excessive retransmissions. I thought 4.3 had fixed
most of the network bugs and problems. Does anyone know what's
happening before I try to do a tcp trace?
