thanks for the tutorial! The critical item for the case of multi-homed
hosts, is that the IP address be constant, regardless of which port the
host sends/receives messages. This is because TCP binds connections to
IP source/destination addresses. Not all networks can provide logical
addressing and this motivates concepts of logical addressing at the IP level
to compensate. It was for that reason that I asked my question.
