The connection only reverts to RAW mode when DO BINARY is done. The
normal mode is non-RAW or COOKED depending on what you are using.
Interrupt and other special operations characters do not work in RAW
mode. RAW tells the terminal driver (whatever flavor) to not act on
any characters. CRMOD in non-RAW mode tells the driver to convert from
CR to LF since Unix wants "newline" which is a LF. Also CRMOD on output
makes LF into CR LF.
