There is a program, 'traffic' that runs on SUN3s (it comes with the
SUN release tape) that does at least part of what you want. It
uses the bitmap display to draw nice graphs of what's going on
and from/to whom. There are various panels that can be selected
for viewing.

In addition they have a program 'etherfind' that takes a classic
"ya hadda be there since V6 or you're lost" 'find' kinda pattern
and dumps ethernet info like vmstat to any terminal, it's also
very helpful (eg. I could hear a diskless node crying for a rarp
and verify that no one was answering, and, past that, watch a
tftpboot fail, all ultimately caused by set up files being wrong,
but it was nice to see something.)
