The robustness principle says that you accept anything that
works, but you do the right thing for anything you put out. John
is perfectly correct in accepting wierd responses if he can get
it to work. On the other hand, the 4.2 implementation is WRONG
and should be fixed post haste.
For those of you on the MILNET side of the house, there will
eventually be a suite of protocl certifiers including FTP.
(Please, no inquiries, I've told you all I know) Each milnet
system will eventually have to toe the line.
